Xerxes (Zak) K. Patel is the Parliamentarian serving the Board of Directors for the Arab-American Cultural & Community Center for 2011. Zak graduated from Texas A&M University in 1997 and from the Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2000. He is Board Certified in Commercial Real Estate by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and a partner in Patel Hammond PLLC, in Houston, TX, which provides legal services regarding business, civil and real estate matters. Zak is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Member of the Real Estate, Probate & Trust of the State Bar of Texas, Houston Bar Association, Credentialed Mediator for Texas, Texas Association of Mediators, Texas Mediator Credentialing Association, Association for Conflict Resolution – Houston Chapter, Houston A&M Club – Board of Directors, Certified Mediator by the Oklahoma Supreme Court, The Reveille Club of Houston – Past President, Caring Aggies Mentor Program (C.A.M.P.) volunteer, Team West U Cycling Club – Past Team Captain, and frequent lecturer for mediation and arbitrator credentialing in Texas on the topics of ethics in mediation and ethics in arbitration.
